Crypto Profit Calculator

Crypto moves fast, so know your numbers before the next swing. This tool shows your real profit after fees.

It also shows your break even price, which is the line where the trade stops hurting.

Crypto swings hard in both ways. Only put in what you can watch drop with out panic.

How to use this tool

  • 1Sell minus buy, times your coins, gives gross profit.
  • 2Fees come off for the net sum.
  • 3Your cost plus fees split by coins gives break even price.

The math behind it

Profit = (exit price - entry price) x amount

Buy 0.5 of a coin at 40,000 and exit at 52,000.

That is 12,000 a coin times 0.5, so 6,000 of gain before fees.

Who this tool is for

I watch which tools folk open most, and this one gets used by the same kinds of people again and again. If any of these sound like you, you are in the right place.

  • Traders checking a coin position before selling
  • Folk with fees all over the place and no full view
  • Any one planing the tax slice on a gain

A pal showed me a crypto win that had doubled. Great. Then we ran the fees and his real gain was 80 percent, still great, and then the tax row appeared. He still did well. But he said the honest number changed how he sized the next bet. Honest numbers are the point.

Tips from me

  • Count exchange fees in the cost. They are louder in crypto than most places.
  • Volatility is the tax you pay for the ride. Size your bets so no single move hurts.
  • Track every trade. Taxes on crypto are real and records save you later.

Mistakes I see with this sum

These are the three slips I made my self or watch folk make most. Skip them and your number will be closer to the truth on the first try.

  1. 1Forgetting that fees on both sides add up on small trades.
  2. 2Sizing bets so a bad night ruins a month. Size for sleep.
  3. 3Ignoring tax records. Every swap is a note for later.

Two words worth knowing

Break even price

The sell price that covers your cost plus fees.

Volatility

How hard and fast the price swings. Crypto has plenty.

That is the whole page. The tool does the math, and the words above give it a shape. If a number still looks odd, change an input and watch what moves. Playing with the boxes taught me more than any guide did.

Common questions

+Why show break even price?

Fees push your real cost up. The break even row is the price you need just to get out even.

+Are crypto gains taxed?

In most places, yes, like other gains. Keep records of every buy and sell for tax time.

+What is the best exit plan?

One you wrote before you bought. Split exits in to two or three price targets so no single number rules your mood.

+What fees should I count?

Trading fees, spread and any network costs. All three shave the entry and the exit.

+Should I set a target before I buy?

Yes. A written exit price beats a midnight vibe. The tool can check what each target pays.
